Oinomikado Yoshimune (大炊御門良宗)

Yoshimune OINOMIKADO (大炊御門 良宗, 1260 - September 28, 1307) was a Kugyo (high court noble) from the middle of Kamakura period to the late Kamakura period. He worked for the five emperors from Emperor Kameyama (the ninetieth) to Emperor Gonijo (the ninety-fourth), and ended up promoting to Shonii Dainagon (Senior Second Rank, Major Counselor) in official court ranks.

His father was Daijo-daijin (Grand Minister) Nobutsugu OINOMIKADO. His mother was the daughter of Sakone no chujo (Middle Captain of the Left Division of Inner Palace Guards) Yoritoshi no Ason. He had the younger paternal brother named Tsuguo OINOMIKADO who was appointed as Hisangi (advisor at large). He had the son named Fuyuuji OINOMIKADO who was appointed as Naidaijin (Minister of the Interior).

In 1268, he was raised to the peerage for the first time. From then, he held successively the positions such as Tosa no Gon no suke (Provisional Assistant Governor of Tosa Province), Sakone no shosho (Minor Captain of the Left Division of Inner Palace Guards), Sakone no chujo, Mutsu no Gon no suke (Provisional Assistant Governor of Mutsu Province), Mino no Gon no suke (Provisional Assistant Governor of Mino Province), Gon Chunagon (Provisional Vice-Councilor of State), and Chunagon (Vice-Councilor of State). In 1290, he was promoted to Gon Dainagon (Provisional Chief Councilor of State), and in 1302, to Dainagon (Chief Councilor of State). Moreover, from 1303 to 1305, he worked as Chugu daibu (Master of the Consort's Household) for Kinshi TOKUDAIJI, a Chugu (empress or one of the consorts of an emperor) of Emperor Gonijo.
